Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON
June 1, 2007
Friday results from the 4th annual Mick & Angelo’s Snapper Shootout,
which kicked off this evening with 16 teams competing for the
$2000 1st place prize. 13 of the competing teams are in the top
30 ISC II rankings, 2 of the teams are highly touted junior teams
out of Ontario, and the last team won the Niagara Falls Men’s
Fastball League Championship in 2006 and will have key additions
for this tournament. All these factors add up to the Shootout
being one of North America’s toughest Intermediate caliber tournaments
to win.
Anyone reading this that is within driving distance should come
down for the day to enjoy some of the best intermediate ball
that you will see outside of the Tournament of Champions. We
have cold beer (and lots of it), great food at the concession
stand, plenty of seating for the fans, a live band in the beer
tent on Saturday night, and you can also pick up our FREE 40+
page FULL COLOUR program which has great articles by OASA President
Dave Reynolds and ISC Canada East Vice-President and ISC II Commissioner
Blair Setford. This program will not disappoint you, with hundreds
of pictures from last years Shootout, great articles, stats,
tournament schedules and much more, it is by far the nicest program
put out there for an ISC II tournament.
