OASA GREAT LAKES CHAMPIONSHIP
July 29 to July 31
New Dundee, Ontario
Doug Fischer Memorial Park
The Ontario Amateur Softball Association is pleased to announce the Great Lakes Championship for Men's teams in Canada and the United States.
The first 16 teams to enter will be placed in four divisions and will play a round robin preliminary round. The top 2 teams in each division will then enter a single elimination playoff round.
Last year the OASA awarded over $3500 dollars to the ten participating teams. Based on 16 teams there will be over $5000 in travel expense money. The winner of each game will receive a portion of the travel expense money.
The OASA is pleased to continue to work with the ISC by awarding a berth to the 2012 ISC WT to the highest finishing Canada East team that doesn't already have a berth and will be declared the 2011 Ontario Provincial A Champion.
Any team that participates in the OASA Great Lakes Championship must use their 2011 ISC Roster (if team qualified in 2010) or ISC qualifier roster.
Please contact Brad Thomson to express interest in the Tournament or if you have any tournament or roster questions (519-954-1269 or thomson.brad@gmail.com).
Entry fee is $500 payable to the OASA with rosters accompanying the entry fee. The deadline is July 1, 2011 and roster changes may be made until one week before the tournament. For entry forms contact OASA Registrar Mary Myers at mjnm@sympatico.ca, or consult the OASA Website for a registration form and Tournament Rules.
