Ottawa, ON - (Ottawa, ON) The Canadian Senior Women's National Team will hold a Selection Camp from January 2-8 2016 in Tucson, Arizona with twenty-four (24) players from the Women's National Team Athlete Pool competing for a spot on the 2016 roster. Team Canada has a busy schedule in 2016, starting with training camps in California and Japan, and finishing off with the US World Cup of Softball from July 4-9 in Oklahoma City, and the WBSC XV Women's World Softball Championship from July 15-24 in Surrey, BC.

** 2016 Women’s National Softball Team Selection Camp

(Ottawa, ON) The Canadian Senior Women’s National Team will hold a Selection Camp from January 2-8 2016 in Tucson, Arizona with twenty-four (24) players from the Women’s National Team Athlete Pool competing for a spot on the 2016 roster. Team Canada has a busy schedule in 2016, starting with training camps in California and Japan, and finishing off with the US World Cup of Softball from July 4-9 in Oklahoma City, and the WBSC XV Women’s World Softball Championship from July 15-24 in Surrey, BC.
Following the Selection Camp, the coaching staff will select a group of athletes to compete for Team Canada in the upcoming season. Jenna Caira (Toronto, ON) will be considered for the final roster but will not be attending the Selection Camp.
The team is coming off a Gold medal performance at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, defeating the United States 4-2 in eight innings in the Gold medal game.
