Best American Players

Ever wonder what non-American players, coaches and administrators rate
American players? We did and we surveyed 25 of them and did the same thing
for American players, New Zealanders, Australians and Argentinians. Those
results will be released at a later time.

We surveyed 25 players, coaches and administrators from outside of the
United States on who they felt were the best American players.

Getting the opinions of opposing players, coaches and administrators takes
out all of the bias that in-country rankers may have and these experts have
the best gauge of who these players are and their abilities to perform on
the field.

Where 12 of the top 13 Canadian players ranked were on their national team,
only five of the top 11 American players ranked are a part of their
national team. However, the top three pitchers were all part of the
national team this past summer and the foreign players, coaches and
administrators agreed.

The list of rankers included:

4 administrators 4 coaches, 8 world class pitchers (2 ARG, 1 AUS, 1 NZ, 3
CAN, 1 VEN), 9 world class position players (3 CAN, 1 ARG, 2 AUS, 1 NZ, 1
VEN)

Josh Johnson-Two All World selections in last three years & FWM’s #31
ranked player in the world

Fred Carmona-2014 All World player & FWM’s #33 ranked player in the world

Tommy Crouch- Best American hitter vs national team pitchers .391 &
FWM’s #35 ranked in world
5.

Nick Mullins-2015 All World player & hit .417 with a HR and 4 RBI at
this year’s ISC as one of the better defensive shortstops in the game
