In the bottom of the 4th inning Chad Hanson earned a 1 out walk. He was replaced by pinch runner Ryan O'Niell. Ryan stole second base and advanced to third when the throw went of shortstop Jeff Berry's glove and into short rightfield. From third, he scored on a Sean O'Brien sacrifice fly to left field. Next batter, Mike Lawton singled with an infield hit, more of a swinging bunt fielded by the first baseman. Local, Pat MacKintosh then came up and hit a towering 2 out, 2 run homer over th right field light standard.
Camrose came back in the top of the 5th inning when Scott Galenza started a 2 out rally with a single. He moved to second on a walk earned by Ron Head. Both runners moved up on a wild pitch and Galenza scored on a passed ball. Brett Kennedy then scored Ron Head with a double but was left stranded at second. Camrose threatened again in the top of the sixth inning, off Trevor Ethier who came in relief, but left runners at first and third when Travis Head hit a hard line drive to Mike Lawton at second base.
Good close game which kept the fans happy when the team with the 3 local players won in the end. Local Dean Holoien was selected as Tournament MVP. Dean pitched 2 wins, one of which was a no hitter, and also contributed with his bat.
