The Midland Explorers pounded out 10 hits in their 8-2 victory over Keating's. Winning pitcher Doug Gillis struck out 5 batters and had no walks.

Keating's had to come from behind in a must win situation to defeat the Scarbarough Wolverines 3-2. With the win Keating's advanced to the semi-final game in the Baumann Tournament.
Down 2-1 in the last of the 6th inning, Frank Keating Jr. blasted a lead off homer to left center field to tie the score at 2. Greg Garrity followed with a single. Justin Stock ran for Garrity and advanced to 2nd base on a wild pitch with no one out. Dave Stokes hit a long drive to left for the 1st out, but the throw to 3rd base went out of play allowing Stock to score the go ahead run. Scarborough did not threaten in the 7th as winning pitcher Bill Hillhouse retired them in order. Hillhouse had 7 strike outs and didn't allow a walk.
Keating's was led offensively by Frank Keating Jr. with a 2 for 3 effort. He had a home run and a single. Bret McHenry was 2 for 3 also, with 2 singles and a run scored. Greg Garrity and Kevin Smith chipped in with a single each.
Steve Mullaley was a perfect 3 for 3 for Scarborough, all singles.
Heflin Builders beat Keating's in the semi-final game of the Baumann Tournament 6-1. Brian Urquhart pitched a 2 hitter to pick up the victory.
Losing pitcher Greg Garrity accounted for the only run of the game for Keating's with a 2nd inning solo home run. Justin Stock had a single and 2 stolen bases for Keating's.
For Heflin Steve Schacker was 2 for 3 with a double, a single and 3 RBI's. Ed Leonardo was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and an RBI.
