Niagara Falls Men's League finals
Game three
September 23, 2008
Storms Fury 3
Doogall's Dawgs 2
wp - Scott Wagar, 9 k's, 4 hits
lp - Tom Berube, 6 hits
Fury - Tom Watkinson 3 run HR, Rob Greatrix double and single, Phil John, Scott Wagar, Joe McMaster single each
Dawgs - Sean Doxtator double, Jeff Bolton RBI single, Tom Berube, Glen Crocker single each
Dawgs Scott Campbell scores in the B1 on a pass ball and Dave Taylor scores in the B5 on a two out single by DH Jeff Bolton to take a 2-0 lead
Fury threatened with runners in scoring position in the first, third and fifth inning and came up empty again as Berube continues to step it up a notch when the Fury gets a rally going.
Top 6, Phil John starts things off with a texas leaguer and with two outs Mark Korten walks. That leads to the big at bat of the night, Tom Watkinson drives a 2-1 pitch over the centre field fence for a 3-2 Fury lead.
Dawgs threaten in the B6 as Berube and Crocker would both single but Wagar gets out of that jam and retires the side in order in the 7th.
Fury lead the best of 5 series 2-1 with game 4 going Wednesday evening 7 pm Ker. Game 5 is slated for Thursday evening if necessary
