2009 KFL finals

After a couple very close series (three of the four games saw 1-0, 2-0 and
4-0 shut-outs), the finals have been set. The Diamond Jaxx and Kings will
face each other in a best of five series to start next Tuesday.
Only two years removed from winning the B Side, the Kings find themselves in
their first KFL championship. They have taken a very tough road to get there
as they faced and beat the 2008 champion Classics in the first round then
went on to face the 2008 runner-up Bell Cartage in the semi-finals.
On the other side of the park will be the Diamond Jaxx who do not believe
anything you may read about the terrible "sophomore jinx". In their very
successful second year, they took on the #1 seed from the opposite division,
Smoke, in the first round and then defeated the #1 seed from their own
division and regular-season champion Selects in the semi-finals.
Both teams are looking to claim their first KFL title so expect these games
to be close and maybe even go to the maximum five games.
The regular season meeting between the two teams resulted in a 3-2 win for
the Kings.
