Softball Ontario Fast Pitch Zone Umpires-in-Chief includes:
Zone 1- John Snook of Port Burwell, ON
Zone 2- Larry Sloat of Ingersoll, ON
Zone 3- Robert Straetmans of Hamilton, ON
Zone 4- Jay McNaughton of Fort Erie, ON
Zone 5- Paul Mastalerz of Georgetown, ON
Zone 6- Rock Nolet of Penetanguishene, ON
Zone 7- Steve Pengelly of Newmarket, ON
Zone 8- Norm Lyon of Oshawa, ON
Zone 9- Chris Lamer of Belleville, ON
Zone 10- Dave Herbst of Orleans, ON
Zone 11- Angie Cerisano of North Bay, ON
A summary of the Fast Pitch Zone Umpires-in-Chief responsibilities include:
—To Communicate with the Fast Pitch Umpire Committee Liaison
—To participation in the Fast Pitch Canadian Umpire Selection Process
—To Assign working Umpires for Softball Ontario Member Association Tournaments
—To instruct at Softball Ontario Fast Pitch Umpires Clinics
—To attend meetings at the request of the Fast Pitch Provincial Umpire-in-Chief
—To promote the Softball Ontario Umpires Program to its region
—To meet with coaches and local softball associations for clarification of Fast Pitch rules
—To submit yearly reports to the Softball Ontario office
—To monitor FP umpire evaluation in their zone
—To appoint FP Evaluators to FP tournaments in their zone
—To appoint FP Instructors to FP Softball Ontario Umpire clinics within their zone
