Black Sox name 3 non-travelling reserves
The Black Sox have added three non-travelling reserves for the ISF World Championships in March.
Currently carrying a squad of 17 players, coach Eddie Kohlhase has named infielder Nathan Nukunuku (Auckland), outfielder Campbell Makea (Wellington) and pitcher Karl Gollan (Auckland) as back-ups.
Veteran Nukunuku was one of the controversial omissions from the original selection, having represented New Zealand since 1997 and attended two previous world tournaments.
Makea was also desperately unlucky to miss out, effectively losing his spot when coaches opted to include a fourth pitcher instead of another outfielder.
Gollan made his first appearance for New Zealand in 2004.
