LEGENDS OF FASTBALL
Larry Lynch has a great lineup of teams set for June 21st to 23rd at Peter Hallman Ball Yard in Kitchener. With no ISF championships this year, there is little need for New Zealand and Argentina to tour this year. Despite that, Hawk has come up with a great 8 team field
Jarvis Hallman Twins, Kitchener Cubs, Shakespeare Falcons and Parry Island Hawks, in the Fireman Law Division..and Hill United, Elmira Erb Electric, Niagara Snappers, Scarborough Force in the MTE Division..
Hill United won the tournament in Cobourg this past weekend with a 5 - 3 win over the Kitchener Cubs..maybe we will see a rematch in the semis or finals.
Games begin Friday nite....Hallman Twins vs Shakespeare and the Cubs vs Parry Island at 7pm

JOHN MACTAVISH - Field of Dreams
Saturday afternoon marked the opening of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters John MacTavish Field of Dreams at Camp McGovern in West Gray..about 90 minutes north of KW...
Last year we celebrated the life of John MacTavish a great fan of fastpitch and slo-pitch softball. The money raised has built a great little ball park to serve the needs of the BigBrother and Big Sister campers for years to come at Camp McGovern. A softball game between John's former teams, Tournament Sports and Big Bills was played to the great entertainment of all who attended.
Cathy MacTavish thanked the players, the dozens of fans and friends of John who donated bats and balls and gloves and those that made financial contributions to make the ball park possible.
A very fitting tribute to a great guy...a ball game on a sunny afternoon, lots of fun at the diamond and all to benefit children.
COMING UP
The ISC qualifier for Quad City is this weekend in Tavistock, 15th 16th and 17th.. Twelve teams will be in action at both Tavi diamonds. ...a very nice drive west of Kitchener, hope that all of you enjoy yourself at the ball yard...
