  NORTH STARS CLINCH #1 SEED IN FIRST ROUND

                       The Sudbury Aquatech North Stars come from last place in the early part of the first round playoffs to climb all the way to the #1 seed .This will put them in the 1-2 playoff second round page playoffs . Tonight it was their strong bats that did it as they dumped the Garson Northern Water Services Hounds 10-4 . Carter Joncas goes all the way for the win giving up 4 runs(all earned) on 7 hits while fanning one batter . Pat Brennan started for the Hounds but gave way to John Ainslie after giving up 5 runs (4 earned) ..Chad St Cyr led the way for the victors hitting 3 for 4 with teammate and brother Jesse St Cyr having a 2 for 3 performance at the dish . Three players hit a home run for the Hounds ( Eric Legendre-2 run shot to left field while Eddy Roy and Bryan Welsh hit solo shots in a losing cause .For personal reasons the second game was cancelled . The Panthers and the Dog House will face each other to end the first round one week from today that being Thursday September the 4th in Garson at 8 pm . Don’t forget the 28th Annual Lions World Senior Fastball Championships this coming weekend in Azilda starting Friday night witch the opening ceremonies at 7 pm .
